Prototype Framework - Potential Elements and Functionality - Cian

Below I have compiled a list of the potential different pages, elements, and functions which will be required as part of our prototypes. These will be subject to change depending on the prototype in question and the functionality we decide upon.


Landing Page

    - The first page seen upon opening the web app.

    - Displays example articles and bias scores.

    - Describes functionality to the user.

Login / Create Account

    - Allows the user to sign in, create a new account, or recover a forgotten password.

Logged-in Home Page

    - Displays articles most relevant to the user. These would be determined by user-defined settings as well as AI-driven results.

    - Categories of article, e.g Politics, sport, international.

Category Pages

    - Displays articles specific to a given category

    - Allow the user to sort by different metrics, e.g. date published, level of bias, type of publication.

Article Pages

    - Displays the text of a news article.

    - Includes a link to the publication.

    - Displays bias score and related information.

Transparency Information

    - A page to explain to the user the functionality of the app and the AI model working in the background.

Article Filter

    - Gives the user the ability to filter articles based on certain metrics, e.g level of bias, type of publication.

User Settings

    - Allows the user to tweak how the app presents articles.

    - Allows the user to change account information.

  Notes from Phil’s Class on research and prototyping:     RESEARCH:   Research presentation on the 7 th November, worth 30% of final mark!     5 minute presentation, 5 min Q and A.     S lide format is important:   Title   Overview   Aims   Background   Objectives   --All the above within approx 1 min 30 sec   RESEARCH   --Research is the bulk of the presentation.   Next Step   --1 or 2 slides outlining our prototyping plan     Practise, Practise, Practise!!
